Fragile Strength Series No.2

A tall vessel split down its center by a deep, jagged fissure, as if the form cracked open under its own tension. Hand-built in stoneware with a heavily crackled, earthen surface, and electric-fired. The exposed dark interior of the split contrasts with the rough exterior, making structural failure the focal point rather than a flaw. Part of the ongoing Fragile Strength series.
